For those of you that can make a stand at PRIDE Charlotte 8/27 for GLBT Justice

PRIDE Charlotte will take place Saturday, August 27. There are several Christian groups that are planning “God Has A Better Way”, an evangelizing effort to “reach out” (sic) to PRIDE participants to let them know that being gay, lesbian, et. al. is not an “orientation”, and is something people can “repent” of (e.g. the “Rainbow Promise Gospel Tract” that will be handed out). Nice to know that Christian groups like this have everything figured out for us already….

In response to this, groups like Canyon Walker Conncetions would like Christians and all others to sign on to a petition, as well as some other actions you can read about here. You can also plan on attending the event with OHG people like Steve K., and others, that are organizing through this Facebook event page. Please consider coming out and taking a stand for real GLBT Justice, that Christians like us experience and embody through the God we know in Jesus Christ. If you’re not Christian, we ask you to also stand with us against such horrible Christian bigotry. Thanks for your help!

  1. “Nice to know that Christian groups like this have everything figured out for us already….”

Huh? God did that through His word, and you are without excuse (Romans 1). In case you are truly confused, and not simply working for “the other side,” this might help to clear things up:
    http://www.faithfacts.org/christ-and-the-culture/gay-rights#fairness

    “…that Christians like us”

And, what kind of “Christians” would that be? The Bible states: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” – Ephesians 4:4-6

    …”horrible Christian bigotry”

We are called to be set apart, holy, and intolerant of sin. Jesus said: ““Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

Loving our fellow man does not mean condoning sinful behaviour/participating in it. Man, Jesus must have been one of the biggest bigots of all by your standards.

As a “pastor” you should also heed the biblical warning that you will incur a “stricter judgement” (James 3:1)

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.” 2 Timoty 4:2-4

Your “church” is an apostate church and blasphemes the name of the one true Christ Jesus. You should be more “tolerant” of those believers who are trying to rescue the souls trapped in the sin of sodomy from eternal judgement. What is wrong with you?

    • To whomever you are that wrote this comment- I’m glad you have everything figured out, may God bless you in your certainty! I guess those that are Open Hearts Gathering are pretty apostate and blasphemous, but I’m pretty sure that doesn’t bother any of us too much. As far as we know, there isn’t much wrong with us, we seem to be doing all right. If we aren’t, I’m sure we’ll find a way, with God’s help, to take care of each other along the way. May She take care of you along the way as well!

  2. Wow. Well, I personally didn’t figure any of this out. It was through the teaching of the Holy Spirit and by the grace of discernment, which is continuing to teach, admonish and correct me through the washing by the Word of God (which you obviously have disdain for…and more than disdain, you don’t even know what the Bible says!).

There is plenty wrong with you according to God: “There is NONE righteous, no not one.” (Romans 3:10) And, that ain’t the only place in the Bible it says it…

Be happy as hogs in slop “taking care” of each other, but know this: You are not Christian and you have no idea who Jesus is – that is what is blasphemous about using His name on your website.

He is the creator of all things in heaven and earth, He is God. He will either be your Saviour or your Judge. Right now, it’s looking like it’s gonna be Judge.

As far as YOUR “Pax” is concerned, here’s what Christ had to say about that:

“But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:33-35

    Not my words…

  3. This is what God says about how we can be certain and how I KNOW the things of which I speak concerning truth and apostasy:

    From: 1 Corinthians 2

“THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD,
AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN,
ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.

For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.”

You, “Pastor” Dennis, cannot accept the things of God, because you are spiritually dead. Again, not my words…

    • it’s not easy dealing with people like this “JP” person but you did a great job at dismantling her obviously bigoted and remarks when you said that she “clarified” things for you!

      Keep on keeping on…!

      • I’m not really trying to dismantle, more like diffuse such caustic rhetoric and judgment. I’d rather JP and I try to meet and talk about these things, rather than make grand conclusions about each other through such limited media. But here we are! Thanks for the support!
